My dad wanted me to take drafting in high school. At that age I rebelled against anything he said. I sure showed him!
I’ve always loved castles and buildings with intriguing architecture. In 1979 I began my long struggle painting the castle. The higher tower was repainted 3 times and the front right tower 2 times. There was great frustration and burn out with the details. I had to put it down weeks and sometimes months. Nine years later it was completed in 1988.
Note to all the kids rebelling against your parents wisdom. If dad or mom says to take a certain class in school, they probably see a talent or character inside you that would benefit you down the road. I really could have used those classes when I did this castle and have regretted not taking the class ever since.
