This little humming bird was my main teaching guide for the pastel class. I showed the class how to blend the back ground and for the bird feathers I used alcahol for the detailing. When I got home I got my metalic powders and added them into the head and neck feathers. The whole bird was a good teaching subject on how to use different tools for different affects. I call this one "Pretty Little Fat Boy" Hummers are notorious for hogging the feed station. Looks like this guy needs to lose some weight.
