Meet The Artist
My mother used to create with her hands with sewing and paint-by-number. She joined a club that would send her a project each month for her to put together and hang on the wall. Dad used to do charactures when he doodled and had a wonderful penmanship with fancy swirls in his capital script letters. I have other relatives that painted and drew. So you can say I began my interest in doing art at a very young age. When I was 10, stories were being told of my Uncle that drew amazing pictures so I asked him to draw a picture of the paint-by-number horse on the wall. He did it in about 15 minutes and I took it home and copied what he did. That was the day I realized I had a gift and that is when I looked at everything differently.
Because of the need for money to pay bills, I had to get a 9 to 5 job and only painted when I had the time. After my husband retired from his business I was able to explore more with my art. While helping at a local thrift shop I started selling some jewelry, art and supplies. To bring in more business to the shop I also offered art classes.
Currently experimenting with all forms of art media, just for the fun of it. Right now I have been designing my own jewelry and trying out some polymer clay projects. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
You can see my finished paintings by browsing through the slide shows or Gallery. Note: The creative process for each painting is unique, and some of the paintings changed as the work progressed.
I Love God and try to do everything for His Glory. Can't wait to see what He has me do next.
Visit us often, I may have something new you might like for yourself or a friend.
